Description
Antique 19th Century Rasht Pictorial Wallhanging from Persia, measuring It measures 61.5 by 88 inches. Red wool ground is hand embroidered in the center with figures, figures on horses, flowers, and animals. It is followed by 3 densely embroidered borders and a 7 inch red wool outer border with hand embroidered flowers. All the hand embroidery is chain stitched. Seams are hand sewn. It is in poor condition with small holes, a tear, fading, edge wear, split seams, and embroidery loss. The most significant loss seems to be the black thread. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
