Description
Vintage 1934 Kit Quilt – Garland (very close to the Anne Orr Garland Quilt) measuring 67×87″. Medallion style with a small group of flowers in the center, surround by an oval garland of flowers, surrounded by a swag frame of flower garland. There is a blue border mimicing the swag. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding. Hand embroidered in one corner is Blanche Carroll Grainger July 1934 San Diego California. In fair condition with fading ,spots, fabric wear to some flowers, and edge wear. Quilt comes with some research. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
