Description
Group of Antique Beaded Embroidery Panels. The lot includes a mix of 19th century beaded embroidered wall hangings and more featuring a 19” x 16” white, black, and grey beaded wall hanging with scrolling borders and floral center on a beige/burgundy ground with 3.5” long beige and green fringe. It is backed in a creme silk moire with an aqua stripe. In fair condition with bead loss and fraying/unwinding of the twisted cord trim. An untrimmed 17” x 14.5” 19th century beaded embroidered wall hanging featuring a wool floral center with a variety of flowers on a tan completely clear beaded ground with milk glass, brown, and cut steel bead accents. It is untrimmed and has no backing. The panel is in fair condition with oxidation to the cut steel beads and fading to the center flowers. A 19.5” x 16.5” 19th century beaded embroidered wall hanging featuring grey and white flowers on a blue ground with cut steel bead accents. As well as a 2” silk fringe and aqua silk passementerie trim with bows at either comer and silk covered tassels. It is backed in canvas and is in fair/poor condition with bead loss, fading to the fringe, and threadbare tassels, and does not lay flat. Also included are 2 19th century beaded embroidered tea cozy panels featuring flowers on a red ground the 2 panels measure 14” x 9” and the top center strip measures 14” x 3”. The 3 pieces are in fair condition with bead loss, embroidery loss, and slight fading. Please see the photos for details and condition. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
