Description
Antique 1854 Album Quilt with signatures from Albany, NY and Newark, NJ. It measures 82×89″. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 10.5×10.5″, set straight, 5 by 6, with 3.5″ brown check sashing and border varying in width 2.5″ to 5″. It is hand pieced, hand inked, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied pink print fabric. In good condition with a few small spots and minor edge wear. 5 blocks are name inscribed with location and date, and some sentiments. The name Martha (Hall?) is inked on the back corner. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
