Description
Vintage 1930s SunBonnet Sue and Sam Quilt measuring 55 by 85 inches. It is comprised of 45 blocks, 8 by 8 inches, set straight, 5 by 9, with a 7 inch swag border. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied mint green fabric binding. Each of the blocks alternate between SunBonnet Sue and Overall Sam gardening, fishing, and other out door activities. Each figure is dressed in different prints and coordinating solids. This is one of the more unique SunBonnet Sue quilts that I have seen with great embroidered details, check out Sue’s petticoats. It is in very good condition. There is a sleeve on the back for hanging. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
