Description
Vintage Crucifiction Chasuble – Embroidered. Purple silk damask, lined with gold cotton sateen. One side has a ivory silk cross appliqued down the center with jin the center a jacquard woven Christ with blue eyes and a crown of thorns, and Latin Popule Meus, Quid Feci Tibi, My People, What Have I Done to You. The rest of the cross has embroidered flowers in silk and gold thread, and a gold silk ribbon applique down the center. 41″ long, and 40″ across. The other side has a single ivory silk 5.5″ wide band down the center with hand embroidered flowers, like the other side. In fair condition with splits in the ivory silk, seam split at the shoulder, edge wear, and fading the in the purple damask. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
