Description
Early 20th Century 14K Framed Beaded Purse. The lot includes 1 antique early 20th century micro beaded purse featuring a 14K kiss lock hinged frame with acanthus leaf motifs and ribbed accents with 2 blue/green cabochons. As well as a 14” long 14K chain with decorative oblong links, both the chain and the frame acid tested as 14K. The purse is beaded in a multicolor Persian design with a 1 1/4” long twisted fringe. It is lined in tan silk moire with 2 inner pockets and includes its original beveled mirror backed in the same moire with a matching carrying bag. The bag measures 6 3/4” x 7 1/4” not including the fringe and is in fair condition with minor head loss to the fringe, slight toning, and the silk moire lining shattering. This piece is not wearable. Proceeds will benefit the Berkshire Botanical Garden. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
