Description
Vintage c1960 Cross Stitched Roses Quilt measuring 69 x99 inches. It is comprised of 6 blocks, 17x 17 inches, set straight, 2 by 3, with a 3.25 inch solid green inner border, a horizontal border white 3.5 inches, and green 3.5 inches, along the top and bottom, and a 15 inch solid white outer border. It is machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and off white reverse the edge is finished with an applied green bias tape binding by machine to front, hand to back. It is in fair condition with overall toning, a large watermark in the center and scuff marks. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
