Description
Antique c1860 Rising Sun Quilt measuring 76 x 81 inches. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 9.5 x 9.5 inches, set on point, 5 by 6, with off white setting squares and triangles, and 5 inch border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back, and applied by hand. It is in good condition with small spots and minor fold line discoloration. The quilt has a variety of Quercitron yellow prints. This quilt maker was a master, piecing a complicated blocks and the quilting is magnificent. Antique c1860 Rising Sun Quilt If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
