Description
Vintage Snails Trail Quilt – Mennonite from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, It measures 71 x 79 inches. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 9 by 9 inches, set straight, 5 by 6, with 3 inch pieced stashing and inner border along 2 sides, with fabric placement creating the tessellating Snails Trail design in pink and black. There are 7 1/2 inch blue vertical borders, and 5 1/2 inch blue horizontal borders. The fabrics all appear to be satins or sateens. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting, and a red and green plaid flannel reverse. The edge is finished with the navy blue applied binding, by machine. It is in fair condition with a couple of spots, holes, and a repair. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
