Description
2 Antique 19th Century Quilts, both in AS IS condition. Includes a c1900 Love Apple or Pomegranate Quilt measuring 77 x 79 inches. It is comprised of 36 blocks, 10x 10 inches, set straight, 6 by 6, with a 7 inch pink and green print pieced Everlasting Tree border. It is hand pieced, machine appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a brown plaid print reverse. The edge is finished with and applied green print binding. It is in poor condition with overall edge wear, spots, and several fabrics are deteriorating. Along with a circa 1880 Garden Patch quilt measuring 80x 83 inches. Comprised of 16 blocks, 15x 15 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with a 3 inch butterscotch print sashing and 5.5 inch butterscotch print border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a brown cotton print reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. This quilt is also in poor condition with overall edge wear, fading, and the black print in the matter fabric is deteriorating or popping. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
