Description
Vintage c1930 Sun Bonnet Sue in Blue measures 72 x 74 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, about 12x 12 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with 3 inch blue and white pieced half square triangle sashing and inner border, and a 7 inch solid blue outer border. It is hand and machine pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. There is a thin flannel blanket inside is batting, and off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with and applied off white fabric binding, by machine. It is in good condition with no issues noted. The workmanship is somewhat primitive, but charming. If you look closely you will see the shadow of the blue and white striped blanket in the off white areas. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
