Description
Antique c1870 Feathered Star quilt measuring 72 x82 inches. From a CA Estate. It is comprised of 21 8.5 inch solid white squares, set on point, 3 by 7, staggered, with white setting triangles. The feathered star is created by the 4 inch wide sashing which is pieced with indigo print squares and triangles. There is a 2″ indigo print inner border and a 3.5″ white outer border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, and applied by hand. It is in good condition with a few small spots. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
