Description
Antique Hand Quilted ecru silk quilt for a Poster Bed. Beautiful fine silk with a beautiful sheen. Overall diamond shape quilted background, with elaborate quilted curled feathers as the primary design, quilted in a pale pink thread. Fringe border of heavy cotton, attached by hand to coverlet border with matching thread. Measurements 79×91″. Fringe measures 4″. Bed surface should be approximately 49″ wide if posts are to fit within the corner cut outs. Seams are hand pieced. The reverse is the same ecru silk and there is very think cotton batting. It is in good condition with a few minor spots and some faint age discoloration. From a NY Collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
