Description
Vintage c1940s Crazy Quilt with many Rayon Dress Prints, some feedsack prints, and several Hawaii theme prints. It measures 60×78″. It is comprised of 8 blocks, about 14 by 35 inches, set straight, 4 by 2. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand embroidered. No batting is noted but it is backed with a blue striped flannel and hand tied in red Perl cotton thread. The edge is finished with a blue woven fabric. It is in good condition with just one are 2 fabrics deteriorated and several small spots. The quilt is believed to come from Kansas and was made by a woman whose family owned a bakery.
