Description
2 vintage c1930s quilts. Includes a 1930s Sunflower quilt measuring 62 by 74 inches. It is comprised of 12 blocks, 18.5 by 19.5 inches, set straight, 3 by 4, with 1.5 inch green sashing and 2 inch border. It is machine pieced, machine appliquéd, and machine quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied green fabric binding, by machine. It is in poor condition with overall toning, discolorations, spots, and edge wear. Along with a 1930s Doves in the Window Quilt measuring 72×91″. Prized of 20 blocks, 15 by 15 inches, set straight, 4 by 5, with 4.5 inch pink stashing and white cornerstones. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with and applied white fabric binding. It is in good condition with just a few small spots.
