Description
Antique c1890 Victorian Era Silk and Velvet Pineapple Quilt measuring 61 by 71 inches. It is comprised of 56 blocks, 8 by 8 inches, set straight, 7 by 8, with a 3.5″ crazy patchwork border. It is hand pieced and hand embroidered. There is no batting or quilting but the edge is finished with an applied black velvet binding. The back is the foundation blocks used for piecing the quilt. It is in poor condition with overall shattering to many of the fabrics as is typical for this time period. There is a sleeve attached along one side for hanging.
