Description
Vintage c1970 Dresden Plate Quilt Measuring 59 x 78 inches. It is comprised of 12 blocks, 13 x 13 inches, set straight, 3 by 4, with 4.5 inch green sashing and yellow cornerstones. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and machine quilted. There is a polyester batting and an off white reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, and applied by hand. It is in good condition with no issues noted, but the edges are a little wavy. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
