Description
Vintage 1970s Paragon Kit Quilt – American Glory measuring 79×93″. This version is in solid red, brown print and yellow print. It is hand appliqued and hand quilted. There is a polyester batting and off white reverse. It is in very good condition with only minor pilling. The blue dots for quilting are evident. One corner on the back has the name Elsie Werden hand embroidered on it. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
