Description
Bobbie Aug Antique Fabric Loose Fabric Collection. Bobbie offered antique fabric dating classes in Paducah, KY for many years. I believe these may have been used for that purpose, her books, and for her own personal study. Fabrics date from 1840 to 1970s. Various sizes from small square sample to some yardage. Includes chintz prints, mourning prints, garibaldi reds, 1880s prints, Patriotic prints, a political print from 1884 James Blaine and John Logan running for President and Vice President. Logan was also a Union General. Please see the photos for details. In overall good condition. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
