Vintage Matelassé Coverlet, mid 20th century, measuring 79×81″, machine made. Medallion style motif with flower in the center, radiating feathers leaves and scrolls, chevron frames, and a hanging grid border. In good condition with one yellow spot. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
