Description
Contemporary Basket quilt top probably from 1990s to 2000. It measures 100 x 115 inches, possibly king-size. There are 242 on point basket blocks, 5 by 5 inches, with .75 inch burgundy print sashing and off white cornerstones. There is a .75 inch burgundy print inner border and a 4.75 inch purple floral print outer border. It is machine pieced. The quilt top features many reproduction fabrics and other coordinating prints. Workmanship is good. And it is in very good condition with only one small spot noted. This quilt top will lie flat and is perfect for quilting. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
