Group of 8 Mini Doll Quilts c1912-1940. The group includes 8 small quilts from the collection of Bobbie Aug. The group includes 1 vintage c1940 yoyo star featuring a mix of colorful depression era prints. It measures 10.5” x 10.5” and is hand-pieced. In good condition. 1 antique c1915 doll quilt featuring a mix of solid and striped cottons. It is machine pieced and quilted with a cotton batting and a hand finished edge. It is backed in a light yellow cotton and measures 12.5” by 15”. It is in fair condition with spots and stains. 1 small vintage doll quilt featuring 2 hand quilted stars on a neutral ground with a pink and blue border and poly batting. It is machine pieced with a machine finished edge and measures 9” x 15”. It is in good condition with 1 open seam at the back border. 1 small antique c1912 doll sized Crazy quilt featuring a mix of solid, striped, and plaid cottons, flannels, and wools with decorative hand embroidered accents. Embroidered on the front is “Jan, 1912″ and it has a grey canvas backing. It is hand-pieced and measures 13” x 14 3/4”. It is in fair condition with 1 open seam and a few small holes. 1 small vintage c1940 doll quilt featuring a grid pattern of black silk velvet and colorful silks including moires. It is hand pieced and has no backing and cotton batting. It measures 17 1/4” by 17” and is in good condition. 1 small depression era yoyo doll quilt featuring hand pieced yoyo’s in a variety of printed cottons. It measures 14” x 21” and is in good condition. 1 antique very small Hole in The Barn Door doll quilt featuring white and purple appliques on a navy and black ground. The piece is hand quilted with the back being brought to the front to finish the edge. It measures 8 3/4” x 13” and has a sleeve for hanging (dowel included). It is in fair condition with fading and toning. It is also signed by Bobbie Aug. 1 vintage c1940 doll quilt featuring colorful hand embroidered kittens in a variety of poses on a white ground. It is hand quilted and has a thin cotton batting with a hand finished turquoise cotton edge and a white cotton back. It measures 15 1/4” x 22”and is in good condition. 1 vintage c1940 doll quilt featuring colorful hand embroidered animals(many with hats) such as bunnies, kittens, lambs, owl’s, and more. It is hand quilted with a thin cotton batting and a blue cotton edge and plain white cotton back. It measures 15.5” x 22” and is in good condition. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
