Antique c1910 School House Sampler Quilt Top measuring 75 x 79 inches. Comprised of 49 squares, 8.5 x 8.5 inches, set straight, 7 by 7, with 25 pieced blocks, and 24 taupe alternating squares. There is a 7.5 inch blue solid border. The quilt top is put together primitively and does not lay flat. It is machine pieced. It is just a quilt top with no batting, backing, or quilting. It is in good condition with a few small spots. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
