Description
Antique 18th century Deerfield Embroidered Linen Coverlet, possibly linen/cotton homespun, measuring 73×99 inches. The hand embroidery features a 6 petal flower in the center with undulating vines of flowers and leaves. The border has swags of more flowers, mostly in yellow, blue, and brown. It is hand pieced and hand embroidered. It is in fair condition with overall toning, spots, a few small holes, and embroidery loss. Textiles from this time period are very rare and often only found in historical societies and museums. From a New York Collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
