Description
This group includes 4 antique c1840 or earlier cotton chintz print fabrics. There is a small fragment from a quilt with a woven tape edge. A scenic and figural print 31×18″. A pillar print against a pink ground with basket of fruit and flowers, 22×33″, in poor condition with a lot of deterioration, but it comes with a similar pillar print with a brown ground. Measures 25″x2.3 yds, in fair condition with small holes and fabric splits. This appears to have been salvaged from a tied comfort. This lot is part of the Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon was THE authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
