2 Antique 19th Century Textile Swatch Books-Velvets. The pairing includes approximately 130 antique c1860s-1890s self-assembled silk velvet Textile Swatchbooks split between 2 books. 1860-1890 Floral Cut Velvets, and 1860 Cut Velvets florals, paisleys, and geometrics. The books are in fair/poor condition with brittle pages and spines, several samples have also broken loose. The samples are in good condition given their age. This Textile Swatch Books collection was the property from a well known NYC textile and garment design archive which provided design and concept inspiration to fashion and textile designers around the world for more than 25 years.
