Description
Vintage c1930s Swinging Sunbonnet Sues Quilt measuring 71x 82 inches. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 9.5×9.5″, set straight, 5 by 6, with an 11″ off white outer border. There is thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse the edge is finished with and applied off white fabric binding by machine to front, and hand to back. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. It is in good condition with some storage line discoloration and other small spots. Very nice variety of depression era feedsack prints including some novelty prints. This quilt is from the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
