Description
Antique Chimney Sweep Quilt from NY c1890s measuring 73 by 87 inches. Comprised of 40 Chimneysweep blocks, about 10 by 10 inches, set on point, with a 2.25 inch wide madder print sashing, and madder print setting triangles. Hand pieced and hand quilted with thin cotton batting and an off white cotton backing. The edge is finished with a hand applied binding. There are 2 paper tags attached the quilt, crediting it to Mrs Robert Flammers who was from northwest New York.
