Description
Antique c1890 Mosaic Tied Comfort Quilt measuring 72 by 75 inches. It is comprised of 2.75 inch hexagons in Garibaldi red, mourning prints, indigo, cheddar, shirting, plaids and other fabrics. It is hand pieced and hand tied in the center of each hexagon and at each point. Thick cotton batting and an indigo print reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, by machine. The maker planned a unique arrangement with red prints down the center and a line of green solid, a line of mourning prints, a line of indigo prints, and a line of cheddar prints all intersecting the double pink center.
Condition report:
It is in poor condition with overall toning, spots, large discolorations, and several fabrics with deterioration or small holes. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $35 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
