Description
Antique c1850 Solomons Temple Variation Quilt measuring 94 by 95 inches. It is comprised of 9 blocks, 19.5 by 19.5 inches, set straight, 3 by 3. 12″ wide sashing and setting blocks include partial blocks and solid white squares on point in 2 sizes. It is hand pieced and magnificently hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied narrow off white fabric binding. Many of the blocks feature unique botanical quilting motifs worked in double line quilting.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with toning, storage line discoloration, age discoloration and spots, and the black dye in the red print is starting to pop. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
