Description
Antique c1850 Carolina Lily Antique Quilt measuring 85×85″. It is comprised of 25 blocks, 10×10″, set on point, with off white setting squares, triangles, and 6 inch border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back narrowly brought to the front, and applied by hand. The overdyed green print is believed to be European from the 1840s and most likely imported and the yellow print a quercitron on yellow, used 1830 to 1860.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with overall toning, spots, minor edge wear, and one small wear in the fabric. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
