Panama (Guna Yala), circa 1960s

(1) Guna geometric medallion mola features four circular medallions enclosing abstract figures, connected by a central cross-form motif, worked in three layers of red, purple, light blue, yellow, and orange cotton with polychrome appliqué details throughout. Dense, fully filled composition with sawtooth borders and concentric circular framing.

(2) Guna stepped cross mola features a bold stepped cross radiating from a central diamond form, worked in three layers of red, black, green, orange, and pink cotton with linear fill stitching in contrasting colors. Strong bilateral symmetry with controlled geometric cutwork.

Condition report:
Fading on upper area of stepped Cross Mola, and areas of wear to applique on Medallion Mola. In house Flat Rate US Shipping of $15 for 1 -10 molas, $5 each additional 10 molas. Insurance is additional and required.
