Panama (Guna Yala), circa 1970s

A matched pair of Guna labyrinth molas, each worked in three layers of reverse appliqué with appliqué accents. Each panel features a large concentric labyrinth design centered on a serpentine wave motif, on a magenta ground with black, green, and orange channels. Polychrome arrow-shaped appliqué accents in the corners, each varying in color including blue, yellow, pink, and cream. Yellow appliqué band and white sawtooth trim at the neckline.

Condition report:
