Vigorously worked reverse appliqué mola panel depicting four confronting caimans enclosed within a large double-lobed oval medallion, their bodies densely filled with parallel cut bars in teal, gold, yellow, blue, and purple, each rendered with close attention to reptilian anatomy including articulated legs, open jaws, and scaled bodies. A fish figure occupies the space between the four caimans’ heads, worked in pink and red. Above the medallion, three fish swim freely across the upper register — one in orange and gold, one in deep red and purple, and one smaller example at upper right in red and yellow — each individually cut and filled with striped interior patterns. The surrounding ground is densely animated with multicolored bar-and-dash embroidery in yellow, orange, teal, green, blue, pink, and lavender, creating a vibrant staccato field that fills every available space. A decorative rick-rack border in green with red and blue striped bands finishes the top edge. Executed in three layers of red, yellow, and black cotton, with extensive supplemental appliqué and hand embroidery throughout.
