Worked in 3 layers of reverse appliqué, appliqué mola, and hand embroidered panel featuring two confronting owls with elaborately embroidered facial details, each with large white-inlaid eyes, above a central fish clasped in their talons, worked in three layers of black, red, and orange cotton with extensive multicolor hand embroidery throughout. Polychrome dash-stitched filler work and scattered appliquéd forms animate the background.
