Description
4 Ethnic Cloths. There is a traditional Hmong Story Cloth otherwise known as Paj Ntaub Dab Neeg. It features hand embroidered scenes of village life. The textile tells the story of a man slaying a tiger in blue embroidered words. It is 32.5″x34″ and it is in good condition. A blue Hmong Paj Ntaub or flower cloth. There is intricate geometric reverse applique and embroidery. It measures 17″x17″. It is in good condition. A Nakshi Kantha square textile which measures 18″x18″ and it is by Gurjari. It has a white lattice pattern embroidered with red and orange French knots. It has several small spots. A Japanese indigo dyed fabric or aizome. It has a white floral and geometric pattern. It is 9″x9″ and in good condition. The pieces are all made from cotton. From the collection of Frances Abell Brand.
