Description
Vintage c1940 Bluework Quilt measuring 72×76″. It is comprised of 49 blocks, 7.5 by 7.5 inches, set straight, 7 by 7, with 10 inch vertical borders and 9 inch horizontal borders. It is hand pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. Motifs include animals, fruit, botanicals, little girls figures, and the center says Rose and Virginia.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with several large spots, edge wear, split in the center, and a seam coming undone. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
