Description
Antique Hexagon and Circle Quilt Blocks. There are 18 quilt blocks in the form of circles with some bordered by squares and 18 hexagonal quilt blocks as well. The fabric hexagons are hand stitched together and feature a variety of fabric patterns on each smaller hexagon. Paper can be seen on the back of them. 3 of the pieces are missing a piece while the rest are fully connected. The other quilt blocks included are squares with circles in the middle or long circles. Typically triangles are used as well. There are some in the figural depiction of a compass and they are from 1875-1900. For a few pieces, there is not a center. Spotting and toning can be seen on a few pieces but this is typically small. From the Paul Pilgrim and Gerald Roy Archive.
