Description
Antique c1880 Silk Hexagon Quilt crazy quilt patchwork corners. It measures 65 by 71 inches. It is comprised of one inch hexagons of silk and velvet. Brightly colored silk flowers in yellow, blue, purple, pink, red and more are set against a black hexagon ground. It is hand pieced. Several of the seams are hand embroidered. There is thick cotton batting and a red cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied black fabric binding. It is not quilted, but rather tied with embroidery floss at the center of many of the rosette flowers.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with only a few fabrics deteriorating or split. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy. Each additional quilt we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
