Description
24 vintage white pages which are mounted with French silks dated from 1890-1900 and more possibly from the mid century. These French silks feature coral motifs on colorful backgrounds. There are some pieces in which the coral designs are made with felt and the rest are with them flat or woven into the design. The swatches are all brightly colored and there are sometimes multiple per page. Age spots, toning, and discoloration on several pages. Also included are 48 white papers with rich nature abstract swatches mounted on them. There are a few pages in which there are more than one swatch displayed on it. There are French swatches from the 1960s with a decent portion of swatches that are in neutral colors. There are 19th century silk jacquards in the mix. Some toning and age spots, which can be expected, are present in a few pieces. This was part of a NYC Archival Collection of Textiles for reproduction and inspiration purposes. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
