Description
Arpillera – Chile. This is on arpillera or burlap, and it is a brightly colored patchwork picture. These pictures were made by women called Arpilleristas and these became popular during the Chilean dictatorship from 1973 to 1990. The scene depicted showcases 3D women carrying young children. The background is of mountains and the sun with some buildings. Cross stitch is used and there are flowers on the ground. The back states that it was handmade in Chile. It is in good condition and it measures 7″x8.5″. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for the first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each.
