Description
Each of the three belts included are woven and they are from Guatemala. There is a green woven belt that is from Totonicapan, Guatemala. It was created in 1977 and it is typically known as a faja. Traditional designs are woven into the belt and the ends feature braided fringe. It is in good condition. There is another colorful Guatemalan belt with the ends being braided yellow, pink, and green threads. It features traditional motifs such as geometrics, human figures, and various other designs. The design is repeated on both sides and it is in good condition. The last belt included vibrant, multicolored geometric patterns which were created using a backstrap loom weaving technique. The designs and colors are characteristic of the Nebaj region. The decorative strip then transforms into red, white, and black bands. There are some toning areas present. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for the first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each.
