Description
There are two traditional Karen blouses for women with both being for married women. They are from Northern Thailand and they are made by Karen women using backstrap looms from handspun cotton. Both feature a v-neck and they have a boxy shape. Both have short sleeves. Along the bottom, there is rich embroidery in pink, green, black, and yellow with white beaded embellishments creating a geometric design. The fringe is applied on four layers with the colors being neon pink, yellow, purple, and orange. This Karen blouse measures 22″x23″ and the fringe is 8″-10″ long. It is in good condition. The other Karen blouse features the same boxy design and short sleeves. It has embroidery in pink, red, and yellow with some green and orange trim. The embroidery is as triangles like the other blouse and there are also white beaded accents. Fringe is applied with a loose thread alongside some light spots. It measures 25″x20.5″ and the fringe is 8″-10″. The background is a black cotton for both. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for the first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each.
