Description
A Vintage red Japanese silk kimono with flowers and cranes as a decorative motif. It features vibrant red, yellow, white, purple, and blue floral patterns with white cranes that are all in mid flight. The lining of the kimono is orange with a red waist sash. Some of the threads are loose by the sleeves and the internal stitches are loose in some areas. Some fading of the red can be see along the upper back and on the front. Laid flat: Length: 47″, Shoulders: 25″, Chest: 25″, Sleeve Length: 12″, and Sleeve Width: 17″. The hemline shows visible wear. Another kimono is included and it is blue and white with flowers and clouds. It has a bright orange lining. The decorations are in red, green, yellow, and cream. There are several age spots on the silk and significant fading along the sleeves and upper chest. Discoloration and spots as well in several areas. Loose threads in some areas. Laid flat: Length: 34″, Shoulders: 26″, Chest: 25″, Sleeve Width: 24.5″, and Sleeve Length: 13″. This was part of a NYC Archival Collection of Textiles for reproduction and inspiration purposes. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for the first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each.
