A vibrant mola panel worked in three layers of reverse appliqué, appliqué, and embroidery depicting two large parrots perched side by side on a shared branch. Each bird is rendered with a prominent curved beak, round eye, and elaborately detailed plumage featuring multicolored U-shaped feather forms across the wings and embroidered herringbone leaf patterns filling the long tail feathers. The left parrot displays a yellow head patch while the right shows a pale blue crown, differentiating the pair. White feet with striped detailing grip the green branch beneath them. The surrounding field is densely scattered with multicolored triangular appliqué elements against the burgundy ground, bordered by a sawtooth zigzag band. A stylized flower with concentric petals and embroidered center occupies the upper left, and a sun-face medallion with radiating points and embroidered facial features anchors the lower left corner. Worked on deep burgundy cotton ground with layers in black, orange, red, green, blue, yellow, pink, and purple. Fine hand-stitching throughout with consistent stitch density. Dense, fully filled composition with sophisticated cutwork featuring complex curves and nested forms throughout the bird bodies. Extensive embroidered detail work enhances the feather patterning and fill elements. Single panel on burgundy cotton ground with red backing visible.
