Description
Antique 1838-42 Figured and Fancy Coverlet- John Jacob Heilbronn, from Basil, Fairfield County, Ohio. Measures 60 by 80 inches, with a hand stitched center seam. Natural linen with red and shades of blue wool. Medallions of 4 roses, leaves, stars, and other geometric and floral motifs fill the field. The border on 2 sides feature Rose trees and pairs of birds with another tree. The 4th border features birds, trees, and houses. The bottom corners state Sarah E Brandum, Fancy Coverlets, Wove by JJ Heilbronn, Basil Ohio. There is fringe along the 2 sides, raw edges along top and bottom.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with fringe loss, a repair in the center, other repaired evident on the reverse, and other minor losses. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $35 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
