Description
Vintage c1940 Hearts and Gizzards Quilt measuring 61 by 77 inches it is comprised of 63 blocks, 8.5 by 8.5 inches, set straight, 7 by 9, with a 4 inch black border along one side and a 2 inch yellow border along the opposite side. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Medium loft cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse the edge is finished knife edge style along one side, and back to front along the other 3 sides, by hand. Very graphic quilt but primitive workmanship.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with fabric bleeding along one side, other small discolorations, and 1 seam needs to be re-stitched.
