Description
Antique c1860 Pot of Flowers Quilt measuring 6 by hundred and 5 inches. Comprised of 9 blocks, 15 by 15 inches, set on point, 3 by 3, with solid block setting squares and triangles. There is a 7 inch undulating vine with bud and leaves along all 4 sides. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied cheddar solid binding. It is an unusual design and one I have not seen before.
Condition report:
It is in poor condition with overall toning large spot, small scuffs, several buds in the border have abrading in the turkey red fabric, and several appliqué pieces are lifting. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
