Lot 81:
Description
Antique c1910 Lily Quilt measuring 71 by 85 inches. It is comprised of 42 blocks, 9 by 9 inches, set straight, 6 by 7, with 21 Lilly blocks and 21 alternating solid squares. There is an 8 inch appliquéd red and cheddar Chevron border. It is hand and machine pieced, hand and machine appliquéd, and hand quilted. Medium loft batting and an off white plain feed sack reverse, Easley Sea Island LL. The edge is finished with an applied off white solid binding, by machine.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with several spots, and die bleeding from both the fugitive green that has turned brown and the cheddar which is bleeding yellow to surrounding areas. There is also a large blue discoloration on the front which is from the printing of the feed sack that is on the reverse. Someone might be brave enough to try to soak these discolorations out, but not if this is your first time washing the quilt. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
